Last Minute Holiday Gift Guide

I am writing this holiday gift guide blog post a little late, well because I haven’t finished my holiday shopping either. However, I do have some gift ideas that you can pick up just in time for the holidays.
1. Insulated Water Bottle
We all know this is the gift that is suitable for pretty much everyone. Between drinking water at home, the gym and the office, S’well bottles can do the trick for even the toughest person on your gift list!
2. Jewelry
Of course we all know everyone loves jewelry. You can really never go wrong with a trendy or classic piece. I suggest checking out adorable and dainty pieces from Chicago based jewelry designer, Landon Lacey. They even have a Last Chance holiday sale going on (for us last minute shoppers) to take advantage of!
3. Essential Oil Patches
If you have any aromatherapy or essential oil lovers to buy for, these natural patches make the perfect stocking stuffer and can be paired with diffusers, oils, or salt lamps! Oh, and they’re on Amazon Prime so you will get them just in time 😉
4. Home Decor
If you are attending a holiday party and are looking for something to bring the host/hostess, you can never go wrong with a home decor piece (candles, decorative pillow, coasters, etc.). These also make great gifts for the new home owner/renter, newlyweds or people that love to decorate! Some of my favorite places to go for home decorations are HomeGoods, TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Burlington and Ross.
Happy Holidays!

Essential Oil Patches

I was so excited to share this post with you all because I recently started using the Natural Patches of Vermont essential oil patches and LOVE them. I posted about them on my Instagram Story and received so many questions from essential oil lovers looking for a review. They work for me because they’re not overly scented and they worked great with my sensitive skin (finally something that didn’t leave me with a rash)!
I picked mine up at my local health food store, but you can order them directly from their website or on Amazon. If you order the variety pack, it comes with 8 different essential oil patches: Arnica, Bergamot, Citrus, Eucalyptus, Tea Tree, Lavender, Lemongrass, and Rose Geranium.

To use the patch, I washed the area I was going to place it on and then stuck the patch to my skin. Quick and easy! Here are my top favorites:
I first tried the Sleep Comfort Formula with Lavender. It contains Extra Virgin Olive Oil (as the carrier oil), Lavender, Chamomile, and Jasmine essential oils. The scent was very mild and not overpowering. I placed it on my chest, which made it relaxing to fall asleep with it on because every now and then I would smell the lavender. I also like to take deep breaths and meditate with these on to help get the full effect and benefit from the oils. If you have a diffuser or salt lamp, you can add some lavender to enhance the aroma in the room.
The Soothing Coughs and Colds Formula is packed with EVOO, Eucalyptus, Citriodora, Camphor, Peppermint and Lemongrass essential oils. This one is really nice if you are feeling under the weather. Place this patch on your chest and wear it throughout the day to help ease your congestion!
So far, my absolute favorite is the Stress Comfort Formula with Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Bergamot, Ginger, Rosemary, and Lavender. I placed this patch on my chest and it had a stronger scent than the others, which was great for deep breathing techniques and meditation. I put this on before I went to bed and relaxed with an oil diffuser and salt lamp on as well. When I woke up, I could still smell the oils from the patch and actually ended up keeping it on until I had to shower!
Happy Relaxation!

Featured Cocktail: Rose Rosé

Getting through the holidays is a bit easier with a cocktail ;). Today’s featured cocktail is Rose Rosé. I was recently introduced to rose water and it’s safe to say I am obsessed with how delicious it is (and how fragrant is smells). I thought why not pair it with Rosé? Well, I did and it was worth sharing.

Rose Rosé
You will need:
•12 oz. Rose Water- I used Petal’s Original Rose Flavor
•1 bottle Rosé
•Pitcher
•Wine Glasses

Directions:
In a pitcher, combine Rose water and Rosé. Stir well and serve!

Alcohol free cocktail idea: Rose Water and Pomegranate Juice

Drink responsibly.

Cheers!
XOXO,
Gee Nicolette
