First blog post of 2020 and I’m thrilled to write about something that’s been on my mind for awhile now. The title of this post kind of says it all but I’ll break it down for you. Whether you’re single, dating, married, engaged, in school, working your dream job, just got fired, have kids, are having a hard time having kids or don’t want kids, you are doing the best that you can and are right where you are supposed to be.
Social media makes it easy for us to question where we are in life and wonder if it’s enough compared to all of the things we see people posting about. When scrolling through social media, try to remember that everything isn’t perfect in anyone’s life. Whatever you are doing is good enough and is right for you.
It’s important to celebrate all of the things in life that shape us to be exactly who we are. Getting engaged, married, having a baby, starting a new job, graduating school, etc. are all really exciting things to celebrate, but so is working through trauma, having the courage to start something new, focusing on self-care and your mental wellbeing, etc. What about celebrating getting through the week or a bad day? Pop some champagne, kombucha, green tea or whatever your drink of choice is and toast to you.
XOXO,
Gee Nicolette
